The campgrounds at Avalon have sites where you can set up your RV, pop-up, or tent for the weekend, or for the full season. The camping area is located in a gently sloping, wooded area . We have retained as many of our trees as possible so shade is the norm. Some sites have full hook ups, while others remain in the primitive naturalness of the West Virginia forest. There are two bathhouses containing men’s and women’s rooms with sinks and indoor showers. Each also has a laundry facility, a deep sink for dishwashing, and an outdoor shower. Located at the lower corner of the campground is a full library lest you forget your book. There is also an RV dumping station.

You can relax on your site, join others in those instant pot-lucks and parties at other sites, watch the chipmunks scurry around, or head down to the pool or dance..  If you’re lucky you may spot one of our pileated woodpeckers (hint: they look like Woody Woodpecker).
